MARY MARGARET TRANT NURSING SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY AND POLICY:
The Mary Margaret Trant Nursing Scholarship was established in 2021 to award college scholarships to qualified nursing students.
Applicants must be accepted to an accredited nursing school. We do not accept applications from students in pre-med programs or other related health fields.
Applicants must be a graduating high school student from the following Massachusetts High Schools: Bishop Fenwick, Danvers, Lynnfield, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Stoneham, Tewksbury, Wakefield, Wilmington or Woburn.
The Degree to which we are able to provide financial assistance varies year to year, depending in part on the generosity of our contributors who make donations in the form of memorial gifts, general donations, and proceeds through fundraisers. Qualified applicants are judged on the basis of personal character, academic achievement and extracurricular activities.
The deadline for application submission is May 1st. Incomplete applications will be disqualified. Scholarship Notifications will be sent out by May 31st.
Your applications must contain ALL of the following to be considered:
1. Application Form (including Personal Remarks)
2. TWO References (ONE current/former teacher preferably in the science field, and ONE former/current employer, mentor OR sports coach.
3. Most recent high school transcript
